Since 1998, CTC has worked with a broad group of community stakeholders to assess the levels of risk and protection in our community in relation to the six health and behavior problems. Based on the community's needs and efforts, we have launched a range of evidence based prevention programs including: Strengthening Families Program children ages 6-14 and their families, the High/Scope Educational Approach to Pre-School, Parenting Wisely, Community Trials Intervention to Prevent High Risk Drinking and the Step Up Social Marketing Campaign and others.
Mission Statement
Communities That Care Squamish is a mobilization project aimed at preventing six youth health and behavior problems (teen pregnancy, substance abuse, violence, delinquency, school drop out, depression and anxiety.
