The information in the Community Directory is the source for the Community section of The Chief newspaper's annual Community Resource and Business Directory.

The directory is compiled from years of community development work by the Sea to Sky Freenet Association & the Squamish Volunteer Centre @ The Hotspot, Sea to Sky Community Services through Communities that Care (2001), and input from you.

Through the "Resource Centre Communication Network" Project funded by the United Way of the Lower Mainland, the Squamish Volunteer Centre transformed the directory into an on-line database and has maintained it since 2001.
